Incom-CNS Shortlisted For Best Apprenticeship Scheme Award!

We’re delighted to announce that the Incom-CNS Group has been shortlisted as finalists in the “Best Apprenticeship Scheme” category for the 2018 Comms Dealer Sales and Marketing Awards, recognising our commitment to fostering young talent and providing genuine opportunities for young people to enter the ICT industry.
We have a long and illustrious history with successful apprentices, with several members of the Incom-CNS team started their careers in the apprenticeship program, including Managing Director, Jason Kilvert, who first joined the company as part of a local Apprenticeship scheme, back in 1993. Jason’s story is an inspiration for the apprentices who have followed, and he has continued to champion the role of apprenticeships, taking an active role in selection and progression of our candidates in their placements at Incom-CNS.
The current Group Apprenticeship scheme is run in conjunction with leading IT and Digital apprenticeship provider Estio, balancing practical experience and academic assessment. Jason Kilvert comments, “The apprentices have a clear path to gain theoretical and practical experience, allowing them to progress into a range of specialist areas within the business. They are mentored by their peers within the workplace to develop their practical skills, while they work towards formal qualifications.”
This year’s new recruits are Tom Tweedy, Beck Robertson, Senan Geary, Molly Millman and Jack Stafford. Beck, Jack and Tom work with the service team, supporting customers and engineers. Senan joined as a trainee Field Engineer and shadows the technical team, working on large customer sites at Manchester Royal Infirmary and MITIE.
Molly works on both sides of the Incom-CNS Group ledger in the finance team and has been with the company for fourteen months and has said “Everyone has been welcoming from the start and I really feel like a part of the team. I get lots of support from my colleagues and I have learnt a lot.”.
For 25 years, apprentices have been progressing through the ranks of Incom-CNS. Being chosen as finalists for this award is a great honour as long-standing advocates of the role of apprenticeships in the work place.
The winner will be announced at the Comms Dealer Sales & Marketing Awards Luncheon at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in London on May 3rd.
